LOUPE, LEE JOSEPH
Founder and previous owner of Lee's Drive-In Lee Joseph Loupe, 81, died Saturday, 
May 22, 2004, at his home.  He was a native of Whitehall.  He is survived by his 
wife, Betty Landry Loupe; two daughters, Marylee L. Allen and Janet L. Davis; 
and three grandchildren.  A private religious service was held Monday, and burial 
was at Greenlawn Mausoleum.  Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, was in 
charge.

LOUPE, MADISON ANN  

INDEPENDENCE - Madison Ann Loupe, the infant daughter of Scott and Rebecca Loupe 
of Independence, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at North Oaks Medical Center in 
Hammond. Survivors also include a sister, Kaitlyn Loupe of Independence; 
grandparents, Terry and Meriel Loupe and Paul and Diane Lee, all of Amite; and 
great-grandmothers, Gloria Coutrado of River Ridge and Beatrice Robertson of Amite. 
Great-grandparents, Cyril and Velma Zeringue, Junior Loupe, Robert D. Robertson Sr. 
and Mr. andMrs. Henry Lee, preceded her in death. Harold Bankston will conduct the 
graveside service today at 2 p.m. in Shady Grove Cemetery, Amite. McKneely Funeral 
Home in Amite is in charge of arrangements.

LOUPE, PERCY "RED"

A resident of Maurepas, he died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at his home. He was 88 and a 
native of Whitehall. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 
from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Visitation at St. Steven's Catholic Church, Whitehall, 
from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Monday. Interment in Whitehall 
Cemetery. Survived by two sons, Francis "Frank" Loupe, Maurepas, and Jerry Loupe 
Sr., St. Amant; a daughter, Theresa "Tessie" Berthelot, Denham Springs; 13 
grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; a brother, Lotten 
Loupe, Columbia, S.C.; and a sister, Yvonne Kramer, Manchac. Preceded in death by 
parents, Sidney and Elodie Arceneaux Loupe; wife, Nettie B. Loupe; a son, Joseph 
Loupe; a grandson, Daryl Loupe; three brothers, Sittmon, Alton and Fernel Loupe; 
and two sisters, Loney Effler and Sister Jane Frances. Pallbearers will be Francis 
"Frank," Jerry Sr., Jerry Jr., Joey, Dean and Darren Loupe. Honorary pallbearer is 
Robert Berthelot Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to North 
Oaks Hospice.
