"MOMMA LOUQUE" A former teacher at Redemptorist High School, she retired after 36 years of teaching. She was 80, a resident of Greenwell Springs and a native of Baton Rouge. She passed away Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, in Baton Rouge. Visiting was at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, with a rosary to be said at 7 p.m. Visiting will resume from 8 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 865 Hatchell Lane, Denham Springs, with the Rev. Cleo Milano officiating. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Wilson V. III and Kathleen Louque, Joel T. and Rosalie Louque and Holt R. and Judy P. Louque; 12 grandchildren, Kay Lynn Dunham, Wilson V. Louque IV, Karen Harvey, Roy Louque, Darlene Saucier, Tammy Williams, Kandi Jones, Paul Louque, Lauren Louque, Paula Wheeler, Bryan Wheeler and Judith Cunningham; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Arthur and Ida Mae Starnes Skeahan; and her husband, Wilson V. Lutcher - Morris Earl "Buck" Louque Sr., 73, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, in Lutcher. He was a native of Grand Point, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict and a retired owner and operator of Bucktown Tavern for more than 40 years. Survivors include his wife, Rose Mary Oubre Louque, Lutcher; five daughters, Glenda Lasseigne, Lutcher, Cathy Accardo, Folsom, Chandra Ayo, Shriever, Rose Fremin, Lutcher, Wanda Trosclair, LaPlace; two sons, Morris E. She is also survived by her father, Edward Lavergne; sister, Robin Crifasi and husband Philip; four nephews; as well as her longtime friend, Rona Crayton. Preceding Sheila in death were her mother, Alice Lejeune Lavergne; twin brothers, Frederick and Wade Lavergne; and sister, Glenda Lavergne.
