He was 77 and a native of Slagelse, Denmark. He was a U.S. Army and U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II and retired with 50 years of service. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday. Religious services at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Danny Smith. Interment in Old Gillsburg Cemetery, Gillsburg. Survived by a daughter, Janet Lovenhardt Lane, Kentwood; a grandson, Terry Lee Lane Jr., Kentwood; and a granddaughter, Sabrina Lane Ragusa, Independence. Preceded in death by his wife, Eula Viennie McMillan Lovenhardt; father, Soren Peter Martin Sorensen; and mother, Kirstine Neilsen Sorensen. ***************************************************************************
