REEVES Retired teacher Dorothy M. Reeves Lucien, 80, Hammond; died December 28, 2007 at North Oaks Medical Center Hammond. She was a member of the Cloverleaf Chapter No. 9 Order of the Eastern Star. Visitation will be at Greenfield Baptist Church, Friday, January 4, 2008 from 10 a.m. until the one hour service beginning at 1 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Jerry Hanible. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, JoAnn Reeves Lawrence. She was preceded in death by James E. Reeves, son; Alice Sheridan, sister; Joseph Meyers, father; Elizabeth Meyers, mother; Cedric Sheridan, nephew; Satandra Sheridan, great-niece; Gladys Jackson, cousin. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 9/18/2000 LUCIEN, LATHON D., SR. Amite - Lathon D. Lucien Sr., 80, died Sept. 6, 2000, at Ochsner Foundation Hospital, New Orleans. He was a native of Tangipahoa, a ceramic tile contractor, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and past member of Autcrat Club. Survivors include three daughters, Bobbie Ray Pickney, Bethleham, Penn., Joan Lawrence, Hammond, Delores Gaten, Amite; two sons, Robert Lucien Sr., New Orleans, Lathon Lucien Jr., Columbia, S.C.; five sisters, Viola Sawyer, Florine Stevenson, Rosa McCarter, Doris Burton and Dorothy Kent, all of Chicago; three brothers, Willard Lucien Jr., Hammond, Frank Lucien, Fayette, Miss., and William Terry White, Hammond; 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A son, Earl Matthews; brother, Norwood Lucien; and sister, Grace Meekins Lucien, preceded him in death. Visitation will be at N.A. James Funeral Home Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. and at Quinns Chapel AME Church from 9 a.m. until the funeral at noon. The Rev.
