Port Allen - Salvador J. "Sammy" Lucita, 66, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at his home. He was a native of Port Allen, a U.S. Army veteran, owner of Sammy's Plumbing Co., a retired East Baton Rouge Parish housing inspector, an employee of the West Baton Rouge Council on Aging, a member of Lobdell Fire Department and a former member of West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Posse. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Marie T. Lucita, Port Allen; two daughters, Susie Lucita Ruckles, Austin, Texas, Pam Lucita Maxwell, Denham Springs; son, Salvador Joseph "Joey" Lucita Jr., Kyle, Texas; four step- children, Foredda Jarreau Matherne, Livingston, Johnny Jarreau, Kentwood, Jackie Jarreau Fontenot, Denham Springs, Wayne Jarreau, Crenshaw, Miss.; and 10 grandchildren. His parents, Joseph "Joe" and Rosa Marie Bonanno Lucita, preceded him in death. Visitation will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen, tonight from 5 to 9 with recitation of the rosary at 7 and Saturday from 8 a.m. until the funeral at 10 a.m. The Rev. Monsignor Robert Berggreen will conduct the service, and burial will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge. ***************************************************************************
