He died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, in Baton Rouge at age 88. He was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Pittsburgh. He was retired from Gordon Jewelers and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Lutty of Baton Rouge; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Anne and Thomas Chiasson, Angela and Henry Ziegler and Monica and Tony Zumo, all of Baton Rouge; nine grandchildren, John Chiasson and wife Dana of Walker, Faith Hilbun and husband Kris of Prairieville, Hope Chiasson of Baton Rouge, Michelle Stevens and husband Travis of Plaquemine, Philip Ziegler and wife Laura of Loranger, Danielle Ziegler and Kristin, Ryan and Josh Zumo, all of Baton Rouge; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Sister Mary Frances Lutty, St. Francis Convent, Springfield, Ill.; sister-in-law, Betty Lutty of Maryland; and two nieces and four nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Josephine Lutty; a brother, Anthony Lutty; sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and George Wagner; and sister, Dorothy Lutty, all of Pittsburgh. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Greenwell Springs and past member of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Alphonsus, and member of American Legion Post 38 and Knights of Columbus Council 3331. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1. Visiting at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, celebrated by the Rev. Tom Duhe. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd. Pallbearers will be John Chiasson, Philip Ziegler, Ryan Zumo, Josh Zumo, Kris Hilbun, Travis Stevens, Max Wiggins and Derek Atkins. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmie Caudle III and Ben Shannon.
