Franklinton - Doris C. Lyles, 71, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at Riverside Medical Center. She was a native of Yazoo County, Miss., and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Edwin L. Lyles of Franklinton; two daughters, Teri Tanner of Franklinton, and Peggy Lyles of Roberts; one sisters, Margaret Compton of Lafayette; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Travis George Compton and Margaret Collins Compton; and three brothers and three sisters. The Rev. Percy Frazier and the Rev. Lyndle Bullard conducted the funeral today. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery, McComb. She was an elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Ponchatoula. Survivors include husband, John Lyles of Ponchatoula; daughter, Paxton Lyles of Ponchatoula; son, Sladen Lyles of Ponchatoula; mother, Peggy Miller of Oak Hill, Ohio.; sister, Carla Miller of Westerville, Ohio; sister Kyle Aldridge of Cornelius, N.C., sister, Nicole Rawlins of Pickerington, Ohio, step-daughter Amy Juneau of Alexandria, La, step-son Tyler Lyles of Baton Rouge, La and (3)step grandchildren, Emille Juneau, Briggs Juneau, Ellie Juneau all of Alexandria, La.; two nieces, Torie Edwards of Cornelius, North Carolina; Hanna Rawlins of Pickerington, Ohio; and a nephew, Dylan Rawlins of Pickerington, Ohio She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Miller. Visitation will be on Friday, February 27, 2009 at The First Presbyterian Church in Ponchatoula , 197 S. 4th Street, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The service will be at 11:00 a.m. at The First Presbyterian Church in Ponchatoula . Interment will be in Carter Plantation Cemetery in Springfield, La.
