He was a native of Ponchatoula and was given special care by the staff of CARE, Inc. Survivors include his parents, David Lyon, Crystal Springs, Miss., and Joanie Hiatt, Ponchatoula; grandparents, Johnnie and June Lyon, Crystal Springs, and Sue Hiatt, Oxford, Miss.; brother, Erin Lyon, Ponchatoula. His grandfather, Carl Hiatt, preceded him in death. Visitation will be at Geisler Funeral Home, Hammond, Tuesday from noon until the funeral at 2 p.m. The Rev. She was 73 and a native of Kentwood. She retired as a bookkeeper with Rogers-Smith Grocery of Amite/Kentwood and was an avid gardener. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation at First United Methodist Church, 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Ken Bowman. Interment in Tangipahoa Cemetery, Tangipahoa. She is survived by her only child, Tommy Jean "T.J." Reid and husband Larry Reid of Amite; a grandson and granddaughter -in-law, William "Billy" Reid and Jeanne Reid of Dallas; a granddaughter, Laura Lea Reid of Amite; a great-granddaughter, Madeleine Jane Reid of Dallas; and a sister, Cordelia Beatty Williams of New Orleans. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard E. and Jocie Phillips Beatty; two husbands, Edward Raborn and Roy Ray Lyons; three brothers, Phillips A. Beatty, Thomas Beatty and Capt. R.E.
