She was 64, a native of Ponca City, Okla., and a resident of Roseland. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. Tuesday. Religious service at St. Helena Catholic Church, Amite, at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Jack Nutter. Interment in Arcola-Roseland Cemetery, Arcola. Survived by two sisters, Janet "Candy" Pourciau, Roseland, and Carolyn Patterson, Hammond; six brothers, Robert King, Springfield, Mervel King, Amite, Johnny King, Demopolis, Ala., and Ronnie King, Richard King and Tuffie Jackson, all of Roseland; numerous nieces and nephews. She was born on Tuesday, April 18, 1939, in Crowley, daughter of the late Francis Victor Atkinson and Lillian Jewel Boulet Atkinson. She was a retired legislative auditor for the state of Louisiana. Surviving are her husband, James D. Lyons; daughter and son-in-law, Syndee and Raymond Brown; son, Mitchell Ray Williams; two sisters, Sharon Stein and Connie Jane Atkinson; stepmother, Lucille Atkinson; two stepsisters, Delores Boudreaux and Alice Massay; stepbrother, Percy Monceaux; two granddaughters, Jennifer Roux and Katherine Brown; grandson, Jake Kiefer; great-granddaughter, Abigail Roux; two stepdaughters, Debbie Meche, and Linda Vincent; stepson, Jimmy Lyons; and eight stepgrandchildren. Mike was born Monday, September 13, 1948 in New Orleans. He was a member of the Special Forces Green Berets, Viet Nam era, 1968-1972. He recieved a Bronze Star with a V Device. Mike was M.I.A. 19 and a half days 45 miles behind enemy lines. He was a professional photographer and owner of Michael Lyons Photography in Metairie doing wedding and portriat photography. Surviving are wife, Judy Kay Lyons; daughter and son-in-law, Tina Wilbert-Ard and Michael Ard; son, William Wilbert; sister, Patricia Barbaro; grandchildren, Frank Cantu, Ambria Cantu and Carrie Wilbert. He was preceded in death by parents; Edward Lyons and Adile Folse Lyons. Friends will be received Monday, May 28 from 6:00p.m. until 10:00p.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00a.m. until services. at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, Louisiana.
