MACFARLAND, ROBERT PEARCE
Texas native and former resident of Hattiesburg, Miss., Robert Pearce
MacFarland, 94, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at Hammond Nursing Home in
Hammond.  He was a retired truck driver with Ralston Purina Company and a
member of Providence Baptist Church.  Survivors include three daughters,
Bertie Ray Miller of Hattiesburg, Betty Nowak of Willis, Texas, and Mildred
Ann Tanner of Springfield; one sister, Annie Byrd Camp of Mule Shoe, Texas;
12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grand-
children.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Viva Mae MacFarland; and
one daughter, Viva Edna Bonin.  The funeral was Monday.  Moore Funeral Home
was in charge.
