MAGRUDER, ANNIE LOU CORBIN CORE
A resident of Ponchatoula, she died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at North Oaks
Medical Center, Hammond. She was 83 and a native of Hammond. Visitation at
Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 10 a.m. until religious
services in the chapel at noon Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Louis
Husser. Interment in Holly Gardens Cemetery. Survived by her husband, Jack
A. Magruder, Ponchatoula; three sons, Harold Core, Beaumont, Texas, James
Core, Folsom, and David Core, Ponchatoula; four daughters, Wilma Wright,
San Antonio, Faye Russell, Independence, and Fran Carrington and Susan
Threeton, both of Hammond; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren;
and a sister, Irene Parker, Hammond. Preceded in death by her first
husband, Harold Core; parents, Eugene and Josephine Lee Corbin; three 
sisters, Mae Beyl, Sadie Anderson and Vivian Perry; and a brother, William
Corbin.

MAGRUDER, JACK ALLEN
Ponchatoula -- Jack Allen Magruder, 80, died Tuesday, July 27, 2007, at
North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond.  A native of New Orleans, he was a U.S.
Army pilot during World War II.  He is survived by four stepdaughters,
Wilma Wright of San Antonio, Faye Russell and Susan Threeton, both of
Independence, and Fran Carrington of Ponchatoula; and three stepsons,
Harold Core of Kirbyville, Texas, James Core of Folsom and David Core of
Ponchatoula.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Augustin and Alma
Hotstream Magruder; his first wife, Jeannette Core Magruder; his second
wife, Annie Core Magruder; one brother, Logan Magruder; and one sister,
Betty Magruder.  A graveside service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Holly
Gardens Cemetery, Hammond.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be
made to the American Cancer Society (Relay For Life), 817 Eden Oaks Drive,
Ponchatoula, LA 70454.  Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, is in
charge.

MAGRUDER, RAY DEVELL
Ray Devell Magruder, 44, attorney and resident of Amite, died at home
Thursday, 1 June.  Born 6 Nov 1888 in Coshocton County, Ohio, the only
child of a well known family; attended Wesleyan University at Delaware,
Ohio; came to Amite in 1908.  Funeral Friday, interment in Amite Cemetery.
Leaves a widow by a 2nd marriage; one son by 1st marriage; and three
children by his latter marriage.
