MAHL, EDWARD F.
A retired heavy equipment operator and a resident of Ponchatoula, he died
at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at his residence. He was 75 and a
native of New Orleans. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a
Merchant Marine. Memorial services at Bedico Community Center, 41172 C.C.
Road, Ponchatoula, at 9 a.m. Saturday. Survived by his wife of 48 years,
Bonnie Wyers Mahl; a daughter, Kathaleen Mahl Pourciau; two sons, Bruce
Edward Mahl and Michael David Mahl; five sisters, Anna Mae Redd, Louise
Carr, Dorothy Fuselier, JoAnn Duvalle and Jacqueline Gerstner; and three
grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, Alexander "Alec" Mahl;
mother, Mae Adams; and a stepdaughter, Barbara Ann Billet. In lieu of
flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of St.
Tammany, 1202 S. Tyler St., Covington, LA 70433. N.A. James Funeral Home
Inc., Hammond, in charge of arrangements.
