MALHOIT, LOUIS AUTHOR SR. 
Robert - Louis Author Malhiot Sr., 68, died Sunday, May 26, 2002, at North
Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was a native of New Orleans, a U.S. Navy
veteran of the Korean conflict and a retired employee of Jefferson Transit,
formerly Louisiana Transit. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Maillian
Malhiot of Robert; one daughter, Leslie Malhiot Maltese of Loranger; one
son, Louis A. Malhiot Maltese of Kings Bay, Ga.; one sister, Anna Malhiot
Basile; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Louis and Anna Mae Maples Malhiot. Visitation will be today at Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 5 until 10 p.m., with a
religious service at 7.
