She was a member of Rocky Hill AME Church where she served as an adult Sunday School teacher. Survivors include four sons, Leroy Hills Jr. of Gary, Ind., and the Rev. Norwert Hills Sr., Johnson Mallory and Joe Michael Mallory, all of Amite; three daughters, Melva Jones, Mary Jane Walker and Anna Marie Campbell, all of Amite; one brother, Joe Nathan Spears of New Orleans; four sisters, Lena Spears Brisco and Hester Spears Brister, both of Amite, Irma Jean Spears Johnson of San Diego and Rodena Spears of New Orleans; 40 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnson Leo Mallory Sr.; her mother, Mary Perry Spears; her father, Alex Alexander Spears; her sisters, Idella, Clovis, Leona, Theresa, Margaret, Mable and Caretha; and her brothers, the Rev. Alex Spears and William Spears. Visitation will be Saturday at Rocky Hill AME Church, Greensburg, from noon until the funeral at 1 p.m. The Rev. Ranches Hall will officiate.
