MANDELLA, MARGARET ELLEN
A resident of Independence, she died at 10:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 
2013, at her home. She was born Jan. 21, 1917, in Independence and was 96 
years of age.  Visitation at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Independence, 
from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, 
2013. Services conducted by Fr. Howard Atkins. Interment Colonial 
Mausoleum, Independence.  Survived by sister-in-law, Sarah Mandella; nieces 
and nephews, Vick Mandella, Jr. and wife, Karen, Frank Mandella, Jr. and 
wife, Doris, Rosetta Hughes and husband, Arthur, Frances Billiott, Lisa 
Johnson and husband, Allain, Henrietta Mandella, Thomas Mandella, Sr. and 
wife, Marsha, Andy Mandella, Kelly Mandella, Jr. and Joseph Mandella, Sr.; 
numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great-
nephews.  Preceded in death by parents, Andrew and Sarah Mandella; infant 
brother, Vick Mandella; sister, Jessie Lee Sampere; 3 brothers, Vick 
Mandella, Sr., Kelly Mandella, Sr. and Frank Mandella, Sr.  McKneely

MANDELLA, VICK ANTHONY, SR. 
A resident and native of Independence, he died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005, at
North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was 82. Visitation at Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on Thursday, Aug. 11, from 6 p.m. to
9 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Religious service at Mater
Dolorosa Catholic Church in Independence on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Entombment
in Colonial Mausoleum, Independence. He is survived by his wife of 57
years, Inez Page Mandella of Independence; son and daughter-in-law, Vick A.
Jr. and Karen Danna Mandella of Independence; two granddaughters, Melissa
M. Cavallero of Independence and Krista L. Mandella of Hammond; great-
granddaughter, Bailey Claire Cavallero of Independence; and sister,
Margaret Mandella of Independence. Preceded in death by his parents, Andrew
and Sarah Cassa Mandella; two brothers, Kelly and Frank Mandella; and
sister, Jesse Sampere. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mater
Dolorosa Catholic School in Independence.
