MANUEL, HERMAN
Mr. Herman Manuel, a resident of Hammond, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, at
North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 85, born Saturday, July 22,
1921, in Ville Platte, the son of the late Sicfroid and Aleda Veillion
Manuel. Surviving are his wife, Marie Strader Manuel; son, David Veillion
Manuel; sister, Iris Doucet; and two brothers, Ray and James Manuel. He was
preceded in death by four sisters, Mae Saunders, Elta Hazelton, Leander
Soileau and Alex Ardoin; and three brothers, Isom, Dewey and Fudland
Manuel. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in
Hammond on Friday, Dec. 22, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Religious service at St.
Joseph Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Justin R.
Kauchak, O.P., officiating. Entombment in Greenlawn Mausoleum, Hammond.
