He died Tuesday, May 3, 2005. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, May 5, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Rite of Christian Burial at 7 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Sam Maranto, celebrant. Christopher is survived by a daughter, Abigelle Maranto, Ponchatoula; a sister, Allison M. Sheridan, Baton Rouge; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Douglas and Marty of Dallas, James A. and Jimmie, Maurice M., Charles and Rosalyn, and Patrick, all of Baton Rouge, and William T. Maranto of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice A. and Alice K. Maranto; brothers, Thomas Phillip and John Paul; paternal grandparents, Sam and Angelina Maranto; and maternal grandparents, William and Grace Martin of Columbus, Ohio; nephews, Daniel Levy Maranto and Patrick Joseph Maranto Jr. ***************************************************************************
