He was 85 and a native of Hessmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday. Visitation in the funeral home chapel from 8 a.m. until religious service at 9 a.m. Saturday. Interment in Sand Hill Cemetery. Survived by four sons, Ronald Marcotte, Ponchatoula, Raymond Marcotte, Marrero, Darel Marcotte, Ponchatoula, and Ricky Marcotte, Springfield; a sister, Josephine Haley, Terrell, Texas; 12 grandchildren, Deborah D'Marco, Dianne Harper, Michele Marcotte, Paul Marcotte, Michael Marcotte, Mark Marcotte, Tina Dedeaux, Sandra Miley, Darel Jo Marcotte, Lauri Stockstill, Philip Bradley and Jennifer Marcotte; 24 great-grand- children and four great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Magdalena Cortese Marcotte; parents, Joseph and Leocatie Bordelon Marcotte; two brothers, George and Leonard Marcotte; and two sisters, Alice Fontanelle and Alene Marcotte.
