Funeral services were held Sunday in Lake Charles for Rev. H. D. Marlin, 71, who died at his home Saturday. The body was sent to Waco, Tex. for interment on Tuesday. After serving as pastor of the First Methodist Church in Hammond, he was transferred to Rayne and then to Lake Charles in 1948. He retired last year at the age of 70. A native of Illinois, he had served in churches in Missouri, Colorado, Texas and New Mexico prior to the Louisiana conferences. A son, Leonard Marlin, of Baptist, attended the services. ***************************************************************************
