Patricia was 70, born Friday, June 21, 1935, in North Dakota, daughter of Leo and Laura Walsh. She made her home in Louisiana for most of her life. Patricia obtained her associate teaching degree from the University of North Dakota in 1955. She served in the U.S. Air Force until 1957, proudly serving in the Hungarian air lift in 1956. She was a BellSouth retiree with 22 years of service. She leaves to mourn her husband, Alfred Marquez; daughter, Laura L.A. Prudhomme Gaupp; three sons, Louis L. Prudhomme, Patrick K. Prudhomme and Stewart McKay Prudhomme; and two stepsons, Al Marquez and Larry Marquez. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Laura Stewart Walsh; sister, Lois Mikkonen; and step- daughter, Sharon K. Massicot. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, on Friday, March 10, from 9 a.m. until memorial service at 11 a.m., with Deacon Warren Fortenberry officiating. Patricia was a lover of strays. She was generous in spirit and kind in action. She will be missed. "Do not go to my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep."
