Retired employee of the East Baton Rouge Parish school system and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 5:37 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2004, at Lane Memorial Hospital in Zachary. She was 76 and a native of Independence. Visiting at Rebenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 6380 Hooper Road, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday, celebrated by the Rev. Jon Koehler. Marretta, Greenwell Springs; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary Marretta Griggs, Baton Rouge, Faye Marretta and Mike G. Millet and Debra Marretta and Barry J. Nelson, all of Greenwell Springs; a sister, Antoinette Prescia, Independence; and six grandchildren, Maria C. Marretta, Amber B. Marretta, Lucas M. Millet, Blair C. Millet, Chase T. Nelson and Peyton C. Nelson. Preceded in death by parents, Nobby and Katie Sinagra; sister, Marie Caruso; and three brothers, Angelo, John and Frank Sinagra. Pallbearers will be Mike G. Millet, Barry J. Nelson, Lucas M. Millet, Chase T. Nelson, V. J. Marretta and Brian DeJean. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Always Young Club. The family thanks Dr. Michael H. Romaguera and staff, the Lane Memorial Hospital staff and the staff of the AMC Infusion Center for the care given to Mrs. Ann at this time.
