MARTEL, NANCY WEATHERLY
Nancy Weatherly Martel, 53, of Slidell, died Sunday, January 18, 2009 in
Northshore Regional Medical Center.  She was born on September 9, 1955 in
St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of Gloria Georges Weatherly and the late
Robert Weatherly.  She was a graduate of Hammond High School, attended
Southeastern Louisiana University, and received her Bachelor of Science
degree from William Carey Nursing School.  Surviving are her 2 sons, Robert
and Nicholas Martell; mother, Gloria Georges Weatherly; 2 sisters, Julie W.
Cefalu, and Joanne Weatherly.  She is preceded in death by ; grandparents,
Albert and Julia Morris Weatherly, John Georges and Olga Papademetriu
Georges Kiriakos. Friends will be received Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at
Harry McKneely & Son in Hammond from 10 am until the 11 am Funeral Service,
conducted by Fr. Anthony Stratis, pastor of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox
Cathedral, New Orleans.  Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park
