He was 67 and retired from Entergy­RiverBend Station with 20 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the 20th Airborne Special Forces Group (1962-1968). He also was a member of the American Legion and Special Forces Association. Visitation at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, on Tuesday, Dec. 18, was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 8:30 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jesse Means. Interment in Starhill Cemetery, St. Francisville. He is survived by two sons, John Maryman, Springfield, and James Maryman and wife Julie, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mabel Clark and husband Sonny, Woodville, Miss., and Louise Maryman, St. Francisville; two brothers, Joe Maryman and wife Susan, St. Francisville, and John Gordon Maryman Jr. and wife Jeanne, of New Caney, Texas; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Renee Maryman and Jessie Alyssa Maryman, both of Loranger; two uncles, Bill and Vivian Daniel, and George Daniel, all of St. Francisville; an aunt, Cooper Rutledge, San Antonio; a niece, Deanna Herbers; a nephew, Joe Maryman Jr.; and special friend, Joy Nell Griffin, Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Gordon Maryman and Anna "Betsy" Maryman Shilling. Pallbearers will be Glenn Daniel, Lealon Castello, David Beauchamp, Dennis Neal, Ricky Wilcox and Wendell Wade. He was an avid LSU baseball fan. He enjoyed fishing and cooking for charities.
