A retired manager of the state Office of Employment Security, he died Friday, Sept. 19, 1997, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 76, a resident and native of Independence. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday. Religious services at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, Independence, at 1 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Dean Martin. Entombment in Colonial Mausoleum. Survived by a daughter, C.C. Schillage, Hammond; a son, C.J. Masaracchia, Augusta, Ga.; two brothers, Rico Masaracchia and Santo Masaracchia, both of Hammond; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife, Jennie LaMarca Masaracchia; and parents, Carlo Masaracchia and Antonia Falconello Masaracchia. Entombment in Rose Memorial Mausoleum. Survived by her husband, Santo E. Masaracchia, Hammond; a daughter, Carla Richmond, Hammond; three grandsons, Edward, Samuel and Andrew Richmond, all of Hammond; two brothers, Sam DeMarco, Houma, and Philip DeMarco Jr., Madera, Calif.; and two sisters, Vida Graziano and Katheryn Magnani, both of Hammond. Preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Sarah DeMarco; and a brother, Lil Johnny DeMarco.
