Evelyn was born on Sunday, September 17, 1939, in Ponchatoula. She was a retired medical records supervisor for Capital Home Health. Surviving are husband of 52 years, William Thurston Mathes, son, Michael Mathes, daughters and sons- in-law, Cathy and Ricky Koppenol, and Cindy and Brian Steib, sister, Doris Price, brother, Leon "Rip" Davis, grandchildren, Ricky Koppenol Jr., Cristy Koppenol, Jessica Mathes, Jenny Steib, Jacob Steib and Breann Mathes, great-grandson, William Judd IV. She is preceded in death by son, William Mathes Jr., parents, Sebie Davis and Mary Neihaus Davis, brothers, Alvin, Hollis, Douglas, Earl and Raymond Davis.
