MATHEU, JOAQUIN JOSE, SR.
Joaquin Jose Matheu Sr., 92, Hammond, died Feb. 3, 2007, at his residence.
He was a native of LaCeiba, Honduras, and a merchant seaman and a World War
II veteran.  Surviving him are his son, Joaquin Matheu Jr., and wife,
Peggy, of Hammond; three daughters, Mirta matheu Klauber of Sarasota, Fla.,
Berta Fabriana Matheu and Gabriella Elizabeth Matheu, both of Hammond;
stepson, George Cabada of Uvealde, Texas; two sisters; grandchildren,
Patrick matheu and wife, Andi, Catherine Matheu, Kelly Klauber, Molly
Klauber; one great-grandchild, Rickie Evelyn Matheu.  Preceding him in
death was his wife, Mirta Massey Matheu.  Visitation will be Tuesday from
10 a.m. until service time at noon Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond.
Interment will follow Mass at Holly Gardens Cemetery in hammond.  Geisler
Funeral Home in Hammond is in charge of arrangements.
