She was 62 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Wednesday, April 19, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home chapel on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Interment in Osyka Cemetery, Osyka, Miss., at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. She is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" Mathews, Jackson; four daughters, Sherree Shaw, Perkinston, Miss., Kelli Babin, Walker, and Lezlie Mathews and Tracie Miller, both of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; two cousins, Polly Wills, Baton Rouge, and Mary Kinchen, Ponchatoula; five grandchildren, Miller Mathews, Meagan Babin, Trey Babin, Travy Averett and Lacy Averett; and three special cousins, Douglas Willis Jr., Christy Moock and Jennifer Wills, all of Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Bacot; and sister, Edith Bowden. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. ***************************************************************************
