MAULDIN-LASHLEY, GLYNON
Glynon Mauldin-Lashley, 89, was called to her Heavenly reward on Saturday,
April 10, 2010. She was born in Comanche County, Texas, August 23, 1920,
and was a member of Westchurch Church of Christ. Her life exemplified her
favorite scripture, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens
me." (Philippians 4:13)  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Marion
L. Mauldin in 1971 and Cary J. Lashley in 1999; her parents, John and Annie
Gunter Mathews; sisters, Oneita Mclaughlin, Penny Adams, and Ruth
Montgomery; brother, Allyn Mathews; and son-in-law, Jerry Conley.  Left to
cherish her memory are sons, Jim and wife Berni Mauldin, Hammond, LA, Larry
and wife Karen Lashely, Alliance, OH; daughters, Marsha and husband Ken
Brooks, Lakebay, WA, Jan Conley, Jessup, GA, and Marcia and husband Hugh
Hodge, Darien, GA. She has 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren,
and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  The family wishes to thank her church
family, the caring staff at Heritage Manor of Hammond, the nurses and staff
of North Oaks Hospital, especially the staff of Telemetry North. A special
thanks to Drs. Bernstein, Zerrangue, and Raab.  Visitation will be held at
Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, Tuesday, April 13, from 
6 p.m. til 8 p.m. with a service at 7:30 p.m. with her son-in-law, Hugh
Hodge and John Bell officiating. Burial will be Friday, April 16, 2010 at
1:00 p.m. at Eastlawn Memorial Garden in Brownwood, TX, with her nephew,
Tony Mauldin officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
Westchurch Church of Christ building fund, 1202 West Church St., Hammond,
