MAURO, JOSEPH LEE 
Joseph Lee Mauro, 63 years old of Hammond, died Thursday, September 7,
2006, at his residence.  He was born October 14, 1942, in Independence, son
of the late Lee and Rosa Giovingo Mauro.  Mr. Mauro retired from the Coast
Guard with more than 23 years of service.  Surviving are his wife, Frances
Mount Mauro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas & Donna Mauro, David &
Celeste Mauro; and two sisters, Catherine & Santa Mauro.  Visitation will
be held at Harry McKneely & Son in Hammond on Friday, September 8, 2006,
from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., and on Saturday, September 9, 2006, from
8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.  Services will be held on Saturday, September 9,
2006, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow in
the Johnson Cemetery.
