MAYEUX, LILLIE DUCOTE
Lillie Ducote Mayeux, 82 years old, of Hammond, passed away peacefully
Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at North Oaks Medical Center.  She was born
September 14, 1923, in Avoyelles Parish.  Surviving are sons Michael Mayeux
and Craig Mayeux; daughters Gayle McGehee, Janice Smith and Sharon Amacker.
She was the beloved grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 12.  She was
preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Mayeux.  Friends and family will
be received Thursday, March 23, 2006, at Harry McKneely & Sons Funeral Home
in Hammond from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Services will be held at Mater
Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville, La. on Friday, March 25, 2006,
with Father Rick Gremillion.  "Just remember in the winter far beneath the
bitter snows lies the seed that with the sun's love in the spring becomes
the rose."
