MAZZENO, EDWARD JOSEPH
Edward Joseph "Jay" Mazzeno, 71, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at his home. He
was a native of New Orleans, a U.S. military veteran and a member of First
United Methodist Church in Hammond. Survivors include his wife, Effie
Thomas Mazzeno; two daughters, Claudia Hoffman, Channelview, Texas, Aline
Newman, Amite; son, Byron Mazzeno, Sugarland, Texas; two brothers, Laurence
and George Mazzeno, New Orleans; sister, Mildred Lefante, Bayonne, N.J.;
and five grandchildren. A sister, Shirley Lafonte, preceded him in death. 
A memorial service will be held Saturday at First United Methodist Church
at 11 a.m., and entombment to follow in Rose Memorial Mausoleum. Harry
McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.
