McABEE, JOEL JAMES
Joel James McAbee, beloved husband of the late Arie Scott McAbee for 65
years, devoted father of Barbara McAbee Guillory, loving father in law of
Allan Joseph Guillory, proud grandfather of Jeffrey Scott Guillory, Regina
Joel Guillory and David Madison Newman, and great-grandfather of Madison
Sheila Newman, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 9:40 a.m.
PaPa Joe is also survived by three brothers, one sister, numerous nieces,
nephews, & many loving extended family & friends.  He was preceded in death
by his parents, Nancy Norris McAbee & Joel Thomas McAbee, and 6 Brothers
and 2 Sisters.  PaPa Joe was 95 years old. He was born in Pendleton, SC and
was a resident of New Orleans, LA for 21 years, of Liberty, SC for 34 years
and Ponchatoula, LA for 6 years.  Visitation will be held on Sunday,
January 7, 2007 from 7 p.m.-9p.m. at Geisler Funeral Home in Ponchatoula,
1190 Hwy 51 N, Ponchatoula, LA 70454. Funeral will be on Monday, January 8,
2007 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  There will also be visitation
on Monday, January 8, 2007 from 9 a.m. until the service time. Brother Jake
Roudkovski will conduct the services. Interment will follow at Sandhill
Cemetery in Ponchatoula.
