MAC" A native of Plaquemine, longtime resident of Port Allen and recent resident of Denham Springs, he passed away at 6:10 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2005, at his home. He was 80, a retired U.S. Navy veteran who served in World War II, and an assistant manager at his daughter's cafe, Marina's Cafe. He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Marina Scrivens of Port Allen and Beverly Dean Lamarca and husband Anthony of Independence; a son, Eric "Rick" McBride of Port Allen; seven grandchildren, Angela Smith and husband, Wade of Hammond, Dwana McBride, Crystel McBride and Reagan Floyd, all of Baton Rouge, Bridget Lamarca, Daphne Lamarca and Anthony Lamarca Jr., all of Independence; and 11 great-grandchildren. He also is survived by his former sister-in-law, Betty McBride Wise. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maralyn Elizabeth Moore McBride; and four brothers, Clyde, Burton, Dallas and Fabius McBride. He will be cremated according to his wishes.
