McCLAIN, ANNIE 

AMITE - Annie McClain, 100, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, at Lallie Kemp Medical 
Center. She was a native of Gloster, Miss. Survivors include three sons, Charles 
and Willie B. McClain, Independence, Rodis McClain, Amite; three daughters, Gladys 
Bradford, Independence, Delores McClain, Alexandria, Lorraine Smith, Independence; 
sister, Pauline Brown, McComb, Miss.; 62 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. 
Visitation will be at Israelite Baptist Church, Amite, Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 
the funeral at 11. The Rev. Johnny Milton will conduct the service, and burial will 
be in Butler Cemetery, Amite. Richardson Funeral Home, Amite, is in charge.

MCCLAIN, EMMA JEAN 

INDEPENDENCE - Emma Jean McClain, 58, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at North 
Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was a native of Summit, Miss. She is survived 
by her husband, Willie B. McClain; one daughter, Michelle McClain; three sons, 
Michael McClain of New Orleans, Mark McClain of Loranger and Courtney McClain of 
Tickfaw; nine sisters, Evelyn Perkins, Elizabeth Martin, Earline Johnson, Katie 
Alston, all of Chicago, Ollie Kay Overstreet of Atlanta, Louise Crosby of 
Milwaukee, Denise and Claudine Howard and Angelita Lawless, all of Donaldsonville; 
six brothers, Melvin, Earnest and Earl Howard, all of New Orleans, Henry and Jerry 
Howard, both of Chicago, and Rodney Howard of Donaldsonville. Visitation will be 
today at N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond, from 4 to 8 p.m. The Rev. Alfred Hart 
will conduct the funeral Saturday at 10 a.m. at Rock Zion Baptist Church, 
Natalbany. Burial will be in Holly Gardens Cemetery, Hammond.

MCCLAIN, WILLIE ARCHIE
Willie Archie McClain, 86, died Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at Landmark
Nursing Center, Hammond.  A native of Covington, he was a cook and served
in the U.S. Army during World War II.  He is survived by one brother, Floyd
McClain of Denham Springs; and one sister, Josie McClain Turnage of
Hammond.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret
McIntyre McClain; three brothers, Sidney, J.D. and Stephen McClain; and two
sisters, Bertha McClain Smith and Vinnie McClain Needham.  The funeral was
today, and burial was in Wetmore Cemetery, Ponchatoula.  Harry McKneely &
Son Funeral Home, Hammond, was in charge.
