MCCRACKEN, JOHN CLARK
John Clark McCracken, 62, died at home in Hammond, Thursday.  Funeral
Thursday in Hammond; interment in Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans.  He
was a widower.  Survived by five children, Mrs. Edwin Buehler of New
Orleans, John Clark, Jr. now in the navy, Miss Eva Hennen McCracken and
Charles McCracken of Hammond, James McCracken.  He belonged to an old New
Orleans family, well known in the furniture business; lived in Hammond the
past 25 years.  Son of the late James McCracken and Susan M. Waterman.  His
father was a native of Nova Scotia, his mother a native of New Orleans.  He
and his brother William entered the furniture business in New Orleans.

MCCRACKEN, LINDA ELLEN
Bedford, Texas - Linda Ellen McCracken, 47, died Friday, May 18, 2001, at
her home. She was a native of Houston, and an executive assistant in the
banking industry. She is survived by one daughter, Meredith McCracken of
Bedford; her father, Russell Landry of Mandeville; one brother, Wynn Landry
of Lafayette; and two sisters, Frances Frederick of Hammond and Julie Bruhn
of Ponchatoula. She was preceded in death by her mother, Constance Landry. 
A service was held today at Forest Ridge Funeral Home in Hurst. Local
visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula,
Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 11 a.m. Burial will be in
Ponchatoula Cemetery.
