A celebration of life service will be held Monday, July 9, 2007 at 11 0ąclock at the Pear Ridge Church of Christ, 1800 Corbin Avenue, Hammond, LA. Interment will follow the service at the Holly Garden Cemetery in Hammond, LA. Aubry was born October 20, 1934, in Crandall, Texas, to Luther and Ruby McCrimmon. He graduated from Blackshear High School and Texas Sotuhern University. He married Virginia Ruth Fisher on November 26, 19585 in Houston, Texas. He came to Hammond in 1991 while working for the E.I. DuPont Company in a sales capacity, where he retired in 1999 after 45 years in medical technology and sales. Prior to their move to Hammond, La., Aubry and Virginia lived in the following locations, Riverside, California; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Syracuse, New York; Memphis, Tenn.; Denver, Colorado; and Houston, Texas. Aubry was an expert skier, accomplished pianist and jazz musician, sports car entusiast, seasoned pilot, holding both VFR and IFR ratings, and gifted handyman around jthe house, who also enjoyed working with computers. He lived a life of integrity and bravery, with a committed love of God, demonstrated through his life long dedication and service to the church. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia, his son, daughter-in-law and grandson, Michael, Valencia and michael II of Atlanta, Georgia; goddaughter and husband, Bernice and Benjamin Major of Riverside, California; sister Lue Nettie Davis of San Angelo, Texas; and Norma Joe Mayes of Dallas, Texas.
