He was 85. He was born in Hammond on January 8, 1927 to Roy McCrory and Mary Causey McCrory. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marines, Army Transportation Command and the U.S. Navy. He joined the Millwright Local Union in 1950 and was still a member in good standing. He also was voted to every office of the Millwright Local except treasurer and was also the Business Agent for 4 years. He joined the Masonic Order in 1959 and remained a member for 53 years. He was also voted to vice president over all carpenters in the State of Louisiana. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Miles McCrory of Albany; four children, Sharon Hebert and husband Lloyd, Marilyn Balfantz, Ken McCrory all of Gonzales and Keith McCrory and wife Tammy of Springfield; and a step son, Barry McCrory of Gonzales; 8 grandchildren; one step grandson; one step granddaughter; 5 great grandchildren; and 2 step great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and six sisters.
