He was born on Friday, September 25, 1931, in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. McEwan was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran, a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus 4th degree. Mr. McEwan had 20 years of service at Southeastern University as an electric technician in Basic Computing Services/Office of Technology. He is preceded in death by his parents, Angerona Rich and Joseph Alexander McEwan; and wife, Minh McEwan. Friends will be received Thursday, March 26, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond and Friday, March 27, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond. Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery. She was born Thursday, July 18, 1929 in Bentre, Vietnam, daughter of the late Le Zan Giai and the late Nguyen Thi Nhuan. Surviving are her husband, Donald McEwan and one sister. She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. Friends will be received Saturday, May 19, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. until the religious service begins at 2:00 p.m. at Harry McKneely & Son in Hammond. Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond.
