He was a native of Tangipahoa. Survivors include his wife, Athfay McKay; three daughters, Sharon Johnson, Gloria Hill and Patricia Parker; five sisters, Delia Hart, Dollbe Bush, Lucille Miller, Lilly Mae McKay and Margie Hunter; three brothers, Andrew, Herbert and Sidney McKay; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His parents, Tom and Viola McKay; and two brothers, Sam and Clem McKay, preceded him in death. Visitation will be at N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond, Friday from 5 to 8. The Rev. W.H. He also leaves a special friend, Paul Morgan, and a devoted uncle, Sidney McKay, as well as a host of grand- children, other relatives and friends.
