MCKAY, CHARLES
Charles McKay, 69, died June 3, 2000, at West Jefferson Medical Center,
Marrero.  He was a native of Tangipahoa.  Survivors include his wife,
Athfay McKay; three daughters, Sharon Johnson, Gloria Hill and Patricia
Parker; five sisters, Delia Hart, Dollbe Bush, Lucille Miller, Lilly Mae
McKay and Margie Hunter; three brothers, Andrew, Herbert and Sidney McKay;
nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  His parents, Tom and
Viola McKay; and two brothers, Sam and Clem McKay, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be at N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond, Friday from 5 to 8.
The Rev. W.H. Hooker will conduct the funeral Saturday at 11 a.m. at New
Zion Baptist Church, Ponchatoula, and burial will be in Holly Gardens
Cemetery.

MCKAY, EDWARD KEI ALEXANDER
Funeral services for Edward Kei Alexander McKay, infant, grandson of Wanda
Johnson and James Williams of Ponchatoula, were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April
14, from Richardson Funeral Home, Hammond.  Burial was in Greenlawn
Cemetery.  Other local survivors are great-grandparents Emma Jean Wells and
Robert Wells Sr., both of Ponchatoula.  The infant died Sunday, April 11,
at North Oaks Medical Center.

MCKAY, FANNIELLA
Fluker - Fanniella McKay, 88, died Monday, April 1, 2002, at North Oaks
Medical Center, Hammond. Survivors include three grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sandy Simmon
and Hester Davis Simmon; her husband, Lonnie McKay; her son, Charlie Ard;
and a grandchild. Visitation will be today at Richardson's Funeral Home,
Amite, from 5 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Bobby Showers will conduct the funeral
Saturday at Community Baptist Church, Fluker, at 11 a.m.  Burial will be in
Tangipahoa Cemetery, Tangipahoa.

McKAY, MAE HELEN
A resident of Amite, she departed this life Wednesday March 21, 2012, at 
her home. She was 60. Visiting at First United Church of God in Christ, 167 
Village Lane, Amite, from 9 a.m. Saturday March 31, 2012 until religious 
service at 11 a.m., conducted by Bishop Phillip Cochran. Interment in Mount 
Zion Cemetery, Montpelier. Arrangements entrusted to MJR Friendly Service 
Funeral Home, Greensburg.

McKAY, WILLIE HOOKFIN
Willie McKay, a former roofer and lifelong resident of Ponchatoula, died 
Sunday in Covington at the age of 69.  He leaves to cherish his memories, 
his faithful wife Ann Clark McKay; his mother Alice Hookfin; four 
daughters, Chiquita McKay and Tycheke, of GA, Jamie WIlson of Hammond, 
Napoleonette I Clark of Denver and adopted daughter Darlene Smith Dempsey 
of Ponchatoula; four sons, Ernest, Reginald (Mathilda) and Shrandal 
ÒRandyÓ McKay, all of GA, and Kendall Wilson and Peronous Clark of Hammond; 
seven sisters, Brenda (Dave) Higgenbotham, Gwendolyn Christy, Valarie 
(Joseph) Hickerson, Sherie McKay, Elaine Wooten, Veola McKay and Shelia 
Wooten; and four brothers Lawrence (Theresa) Berry, Charles Hookfin, 
Clarence Hookfin, and Samuel McKay. He also leaves a special friend, Paul 
Morgan, and a devoted uncle, Sidney McKay, as well as a host of grand-
children, other relatives and friends.  He is preceeded in death by his 
father Sam McKay, his grandparents Louvenie and George Berry, Tom and 
Viola McKay, children Willie McKay, Jr., Reynard McKay, Kalonniann Clark 
James, brothers Jerry and Johnny Hookfin and sisters Laverne Jones and 
Pastor Leola Seals.  Visitation will take place today at N A James Funeral 
Home from 3 - 8 P M.  Funeral Services will be held at Greater Rosehill 
Westside Missionary Baptist Church on Friday at 11 A M. Interment will 
follow at Holly Gardens Cemetery.
