She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was born in Progress, Miss., on April 7, 1930. Preceded in death by her parents, Purr and Rhoda Schillings; and sister Cynthia Causey. Survived by her husband of 43 years, Hugh B. McKenzie, of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Delores Brendell and husband Bob, of Salem, Mo., and Emily Fussell and husband Bonnie; two grandchildren, Rick Aucoin and wife Tara, and Robin Aucoin; and great-granddaughter, Davis Emily Aucoin, all of Baton Rouge; brother, Norman Schilling, of Magnolia, Miss.; aunt, Betty Walls, of Osyka, Miss.; sisters-in-law, Castella Barron, of Ponchatoula, Kelly Bessinette, of Laurel, Miss., and Mary Chester, of Baton Rouge; brothers-in-law, James McKenzie, of Baton Rouge, and Richard McKenzie, of Laurel; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Rhoda was a member of Friendswood United Methodist Church, Friendswood, Texas. She was very active in the Methodist Women's group and director of its Meals on Wheels organization for several years.
