McKINNEY-KIRKLAND, DARLENE
Age 53, a resident of Tickfaw and a former resident of Springfield, Darlene 
passed away on Monday, April 19, 2010 in Mississippi. She was a loving wife 
and mother who cared for her family as a homemaker.  Darlene is survived by 
her husband Jessie Kirkland, Jr.; mother, Mildred McKinney Frazier; her 
children, Jake Jr., Jeffery, and Joshua Kirkland; grandchildren, Chelsea, 
Sabrina, Dale, Jo Jo, Jessica, Joshua Jr., and Jeffery Jr.; her great-
grandson, Jacob Brady; two brothers, Joey and Gary McKinney; her sister, 
Donna Dykes; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceding Darlene in death 
was her father, Joseph McKinney.  Relatives and friends of the family are 
invited to attend the funeral services from the chapel of Brandon G. 
Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond, on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 
1:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Andy Stafford will 
officiate the services and interment will follow at McKinney Cemetery in
