A native of Hammond, he was employed in commercial trucking and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his son, Michael Alston McKinstry of Washington, D.C.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The Rev. Kathleen Crighton will conduct a memorial service Saturday at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Ponchatoula. She was a native of Covington. She is survived by one son, Charles Edward Odom of Oklahoma City; four daughters, Odelle Odom Roesky of Metairie, Mary Odom Beverly of Ponchatoula, Jean Odom Reagin of Atlanta and Irma Odom Lyons of Houma; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Huston Boothe of Pumpkin Center and Hulan Boothe of Kaplan. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hillary Odom; second husband, J.B. McKinstry; one grandchild; one brother, Herbert Boothe; and her parents, William Howell and Fannie Willie Boothe. Visitation will be Thursday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 11 a.m. until the funeral at 2 p.m. The Rev. Leon Dunn will conduct the service, and burial will be in Bogue Falaya Cemetery, Folsom. *************************************************************************
