He was born on January 7, 1929, in Hammond, son of the late Al McLee and the late Mamie McLee. He served 8 years in the Army. Surviving are daughters Sharon Crockett, Susan A. McLee and Terry McLee; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by Ralph Rogers, Bernice Rogers Brown, Robert MClee and Katie Colvin McLee. Friends will be received at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Monday, February 21, 2011 on Old Baton Rouge Hwy from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints , Monday, February 21, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Holly Gardens. He was a native of New Orleans, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a retired engineer from the Louisiana State Highway Department. He is survived by four daughters, Sherry Badon and Lori Laurent, both of Ponchatoula, Debbie Moore of Independence and Shana Lange of Abita Springs; one son, Shawn McLee of Abita Springs; one brother, Kenneth McLee of Hammond; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Mamie Wainwright McLee; one sister, Bernice Brown; and one brother, Ralph Rogers.
