MCLENDON, CARLENE DRUDE
A resident and native of Ponchatoula, she died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at
North Oaks Medical Center. She was 65.  Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son
Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian
Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 1 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the
Rev. Richard Archer, O.P. Interment in Ponchatoula Cemetery. Survived by
her husband, C.H. McLendon, Ponchatoula; four daughters, Mrs. Joe (Gail)
Bothwell, Springfield, Va., Mrs. Jim (Denise) Ekdahl, Orrtanna, Pa., Mrs.
Ben (Sharon) Rawls, Denham Springs, and Mrs. Brad (Sandy) Johnson,
Ponchatoula; a son, Tim McLendon, Arlington, Va.; a sister, Rita Walz,
Ponchatoula; five brothers, Carl Drude Jr., Raymond Drude Sr. and Bobby
Drude, all of Ponchatoula, Jake Drude, Hammond, and David Drude,
Ponchatoula; and six grandchildren, Ben Rawls III, Matthew Rawls, Jenna
Ekdahl, Ian Johnson, Katie Johnson and Julian Bothwell. Preceded in death
by parents, Carl and Louise LaSaicherre Drude; step-mother, Tillie Keim
Drude; and two brothers, Melvin and Alvin Drude.
