Mr. Harry was a native of Meridian, MS, a longtime resident of Chalmette and post Katrina resident of Pumpkin Center. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a Mason with Andrew Jackson #428 in Arabi. Mr. Harry retired as a supervisor with Exxon Mobil Refinery after 35 years of dedicated service. He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Sandra Martin McRae; children, Kevin McRae & his wife Mona, Tracy McRae Kingston and her husband Al, Shawn McRae and his wife Deanne; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Megan and Shane Schenk, Catherine and Elizabeth McRae, Erin and Kelly McRae. Mr. Harry is also survived by his two brothers, Gerald McRae and his wife Lynda, Sammy McRae and his wife Janice, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Mr. Harry in death were his granddaughter, Holly McRae; brother, Frank McRae; parents, Cleveland and Thelma Kidd McRae. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond, on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. A Masonic Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Margaret Catholic Church Cemetery.
