He was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Pumpkin Center. He is survived by one daughter, Raven Johanna Meades of Pumpkin Center; his mother, Mattie Lou Meades of Pumpkin Center; one sister, Marjorie "Margie" Foster of Pumpkin Center; and five brothers, Wesley Meades of Pumpkin Center, Flavius "Jr." Meades Jr. of LaPlace, Stanley Meades of Robert, Glen Meades of Gonzales and LeVern Meades of Pumpkin Center. He was preceded in death by his father, Flavius Meades. Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Geisler Funeral Home, Albany, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. until the funeral at 10 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Pumpkin Center. The Rev. Jimmy Walls and the Rev. Greg Dunn will conduct the service. Chris Springer, a chaplain with Trinity Hospice, will interpret the services for the hearing impaired.
