MEADES, ALAN FLAVIUS
Pumpkin Center - Alan Flavius Meades, 45, died Wednesday, May 9, 2001, at
his home. He was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Pumpkin Center. 
He is survived by one daughter, Raven Johanna Meades of Pumpkin Center; his
mother, Mattie Lou Meades of Pumpkin Center; one sister, Marjorie "Margie"
Foster of Pumpkin Center; and five brothers, Wesley Meades of Pumpkin
Center, Flavius "Jr." Meades Jr. of LaPlace, Stanley Meades of Robert, Glen
Meades of Gonzales and LeVern Meades of Pumpkin Center. He was preceded in
death by his father, Flavius Meades. Visitation will be today from 5 to 
9 p.m. at Geisler Funeral Home, Albany, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. until the
funeral at 10 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Pumpkin Center. The Rev. Jimmy
Walls and the Rev. Greg Dunn will conduct the service. Chris Springer, a
chaplain with Trinity Hospice, will interpret the services for the hearing
impaired. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

MEADES, MATTIE GRACE
Mattie Grace Meades died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at her residence in
Kentwood. She was 61 and a native of Pumpkin Center. Visitation at McKneely
Funeral Home, Kentwood, on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. until religious
service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Percy M. Frasier. Interment in
Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery, Pumpkin Center. Survived by a sister,
Doris Monteleone, Hammond; two brothers, Jerry Meades, Prairieville, and
John Meades, Walker; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family,
Bobbie Gill, Tiffany and Kenny Gill, Debbie White, Michelle Anthony, Carol
Gill and Brenda Gilbert. Preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ada
Meades; two sisters, Joyce Madere and Betty Scott; and five brothers, Leon,

MEADES, ROBERT EARL 
Maurepas - Robert Earl Meades, 49, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at Louisiana
War Veterans Home in Jackson. He was a native of Pumpkin Center and a tug
boat captain and U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Katherine
Neuschafer Meades of Maurepas; one son, Bryan Meades of Maurepas; two
sisters, Doris Monteleone of Hammond and Mattie Meades of Kentwood; two 
brothers, John Meades of Walker and Jerry Meades of Galvez; and one grand-
child. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ada Avants Meades;
two sisters, Joyce Madere and Betty Scott; and three brothers, Leon, Donald
and Floyd Meades. Visitation will be today at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral
Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday after 8 a.m. until the
funeral at 10. Burial will be in Maurepas Cemetery.
