MEADORS, REED ROBERTS 
A resident of Greensburg and a native of Gulfport, Miss., he died at 
7:22 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2005, at St. Helena Parish Hospital in
Greensburg. He was 87. He was retired superintendent of St. Helena Parish
School System. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 2 p.m.
until 4 p.m. Sunday, March 6, and from 10 a.m. Monday, March 7, until 
12:30 p.m. Religious service at Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, Amite,
at 1 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. J. Don Campbell. Interment in
Hollywood Cemetery, McComb, Miss. He is survived by two daughters,
Katharine Meadors, Amite, and Deborah Meadors Forshag and her husband,
Cooper Forshag, Amite; brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Evelyn
Meadors, West Point, Ga.; grandchildren, Jennifer Rudge Hill and her
husband, David Hill, Hammond, Reed Rudge, St. Petersburg, Fla., Joshua
Icke, Amite, Carley Forshag Verdin and her husband, Brad Verdin, Loranger,
and Ellen Forshag, New Orleans; and great-grandson, Ethan Hill, Hammond. He
was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie May Meadors; parents, William
Daniel Meadors and Emma Craig Meadors; sister, Jeanette Meadors Murphy; and
brothers, William Daniel Meadors Jr., William Henry Meadors and John Floyd
Meadors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be
made to the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, P.O. Box 722, Amite, LA
70422, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Helena Parish Nursing
Home Resident Care Fund, P.O. Box 700, Greensburg, LA 70441.
