MEEKINS, DELMA
Delma Meekins, 88, Hammond, died February 10, 2008 at North Oaks Medical
Center, Hammond.  The funeral will be Sunday at 6 p.m. at Greenfield
Baptist Church, Hammond. The Rev. Jerry Hanible will officiate. Dismissal
will be Monday at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Greenlawn Cemetery,
Hammond.  Survivors are three daughters, Mary Lucille Jarrett, Jane Johari
Holden Bankston and Sandra Meekens Rowe.  N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond,
in charge.

MEEKINS, GRADY
Grady Meekins, 90, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at his home. He was a
native of Louann, Ark. He was a retired employee of T.H. Burt & Sons and a
member of the Masons. He is survived by his wife, Delma Meekins of Hammond;
one daughter, Sandra Meekins Rowe of Oakland, Calif.; and two step-
daughters, Mary Lucille Jarrett of Providence, R.I., and Johari Bankston of
Los Angeles; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in
death by his first wife, Willie Mae Meekins; and one stepdaughter, Norma K. 
McFirstley. Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Greenfield
Missionary Baptist Church, Hammond. The Rev. Willie Blount will conduct the
funeral Wednesday at First Bethel Independent Methodist United Progressive
Community Church at 1 p.m. N.A. James Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.
