She was a native and resident of Albany and had retired as a nursing assistant at Hammond Development Center. Survivors include her three sons, Charles C. Methvien of Holden, Leolean J. Methvien of Holden, and Wayne W. Methvien of Springfield; seven daughters, Grace Eldridge of Robeline, Plummie Jean Gauthreaux of Albany, Gloria Schilling of Albany, Maggie Watts of Tickfaw, Velma White of Huntsville, Ala., Georgia Baxter of Hammond, and Ouida Nugent of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Inez Neal of Athens, Ga., and Hazel Sanders of Holden; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A son, T.E. Methvien Jr., preceded her in death, as did brothers Spencer, Melvin, Clark and Leon Hoyt, and Ken and Melvin King and sisters Wilmer Lavigne, Rosie Hano, Annie Hano, Mary Riggs and Beulah Carpenter. Visitation will be at Harry McKneely Funeral Home, Hammond, tonight from 4 to 9 and Monday after 8 a.m. Dr. David Blackwell will conduct the service at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in James Chapel Cemetery, Holden. ***************************************************************************
