METHVIN, BENNY LEE 
An operator with BASF and a resident of Independence, he died at 4:50 p.m.
Thursday, April 28, 2005, at his home. He was 56 and a native of Lake
Village, Ark. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 5 p.m.
Saturday, April 30, to 9 p.m. and continuing from the funeral home chapel
at noon on Sunday, May 1, until religious service at 3 p.m., conducted by
Pastor Bud Plake. Interment in Felders Cemetery, Denham Springs. He is
survived by his wife, Earleen Griffin Methvin; two sons, Jason Lee and
Clinton Reid Methvin; two sisters, Joann Baker and Linda Waldon; and a
granddaughter, Jade Lee Methvin. He was preceded in death by his father,
Samuel Charles Methvin; mother, Clara Bell Cleghorn; son, Mitchell Lee
Methvin; and brother, Samuel Charles Methvin. Pallbearers will be Marshall
Cormier, Danny Ducote, Bobby Owens, Perry Schenk, Kenny Rowl, Stephen
Ladet, Shaun and Keilen Griffin, and Jimmy Merrit.

METHVIN, GERALD ROBERT SR.
Ponchatoula - Gerald Robert Methvin Sr., 78, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at
his home. He was a native of Ponchatoula. He is survived by his wife, Joyce
M. Methvin of Ponchatoula; two sons, Gerald R. Methvin Jr. of Houston and
Jack E. Methvin of St. Cloud, Fla.; two daughters, Norma M. Taylor and
Debbie Methvin, both of Ponchatoula; one sister, June M. Pregeant of 
Ponchatoula; one brother, Jack Methvin of Merced, Calif.; seven grand-
children and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his
parents, Robert and Norma Fortune Methvin; one brother, Charles Methvin;
one sister, Louise M. Verdon; and one grandchild. A memorial service will
be held at a later date. Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, is in
charge.

METHVIN, GERALD ROBERT
Ponchatoula - A memorial service for Gerald Robert Methvin, 78, will be
held Saturday. He died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at his home.  He was a native
and resident of Ponchatoula, a retired employee of Shell Oil Co. and a U.S.
Marine veteran of World War II.  He is survived by his wife, Joyce M.
Methvin of Ponchatoula; two sons, Gerald R. Methvin Jr. of Houston and Jack
E. Methvin of St. Cloud, Fla.; two daughters, Norma M. Traylor and Debbie
Methvin, both of Ponchatoula; one sister, June Pregeant of Ponchatoula; one
brother, Jack Methvin of Merced, Calif.; seven grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.  A memorial service with military honors will be held
at the home of James and Mary McKnight, 350 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula,
at 2 p.m.  Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, was in charge.
